Solar power electricity generation systems are considered very expensive and even though this technique is now over two decades old, it is still considered very expensive. It is not common in the world even though it is found in abundance and the simple factor which has top be kept in mind for generating the solar power electricity is sun rays but the mechanism is the real thing and it has a very expensive price. It can not be sold off at a lower price until any government and the product making companies cut down their prices. There will be advantage not only to the individuals but to the government at large. We know the problems of electricity in many countries. Especially the third world countries and the countries where the water is not found in abundance and other methods of electric power generation systems are to be introduced. These normally include nuclear power plants which possess great threat to the environment. Solar power electricity is produced with the help of large and huge electric plants. These plants are not very easy to buil and include huge amount of costs. These plants are most common among the larger nations. Most of
these plants can be found in United States but in recent years it has also been spread to the Europe. These plants include a large set up. Usually there is a large metal tower surrounded by number of rectangle shaped mirrors. These mirrors normally include photovoltaic sheets and glass. Behind these glass is a sheet of silicon. When a ray of light falls on the surface of the glass, the glass catches its radiation and then makes the protons of the sun light react with the neutrons of the silicon sheets. When they react with each other a reaction takes place and if connected through a wire to the inverter it passes current. But in case of the solar electric power plants they reflect the sunlight and radiation to the large and tall metal tower in centre. This metal tower uses sodium in its material. The fact that sodium is the best and a very efficient conductor of heat, makes it useful for solar power generation. The tower remains hot enough to provide enough energy for the electricity generation throughout rest of the day.
